Every few days I do a checkup on Lucy.
Just to make sure she's healthy and not dirty.
A dirty bottom can be a sign of diarrhoea, therefore always good to have a simple check.

Not that I suspected something like that, but the check is soo simple:

Lucy really enjoys exloring the living room in her Explorer Ball.
Lately she reacts to when I call her name; she actually runs towards me and convinces herself it's me, by smelling...

This weekend I did some shopping for Lucy at my favorite Pet shop:

Hamster-Doughnuts! How Cool! - Mathijs

Today I found out that I've bought 3x Kraker® for Guinea-pigs...

Yesterday we experienced an Internet black-out, therefore I couldn't update...
Fortunately the HamsterTracker™ server could cope with it this time
and the data was uploaded at the moment it was possible
(not losing any data along the way ;-)

This morning I discovered that the webcams (as well as the RSS-feed) aren't updated as they should:

This resulted in various phone calls with my Internet Service Provider (ISP), during my lunch break.
They suggested that I contacted the supplier of my router.
The supplier of my router suggested that I upgraded the router to it's latest firmware.

After upgrading and twinkering, another call to the ISP.
Yeah, now where back online!!!

Unfortunately the webcam problem still exists... :-(

To end with some positive notes

Lucy has gone back to her usual self after last bite (see entry below)!
My finger has healed almost 100%!
Because of ISP blackout, we have spent some extra quality time on the couch!

The first time Lucy has done this...

It all started out like the usual thing...

We played around, having fun, while I sometimes needed to make sure that Lucy wouldn't jump or something:

Then it happened...

When I lifted Lucy off the couch...
She unexplainably paniced and (even) squeeled... (never seen/heard her doing that before)
Then... >BITE< ...

I let her loose on the couch (again), to calm down and to observe;
Lucy was shocked... She sat still for a while, probably wondering what happened....

In the mean time, the only thing I could think of was sweet talkin' to Lucy in an attempt to settle her down;

I guess you can give your hamster an unintentional scare sometimes... My mistake!, sorry Lucy!

Observation: Lucy's two front teeth are approximately 3 mm wide, that's 1.5 mm per tooth!
(3 mm, that's the width of the 'horrific' bite in my finger)

After making Apple-sushi for Lucy, see yesterday below, I needed to clean her cage;

After half an hour in her explorer ball, Lucy returned to her cage, only to find her freshly made Apple-Sushi.
