Sunday morning, I mysteriously woke up at 7:15 (am.),
so I did a checkup on Lucy ...
Lucy had disappeared !
As it seemed some (normally securing) Duct-Tape came loose,
enableing Lucy to have a venture outside her cage.
When I tried to move the bedroom to the nearby table after this discovery,
disaster struck (again) :
" I should refresh the Duct-Tape everytime,
it had lost it's sticky-ness ! Stupid, Stupid me !!! " - Mathijs
I did crawl around in my living room trying to spot Lucy.
I then checked behind the refrigirator,
the place I found Lucy on her first escape, March 6, 2008.
Unfortunately she wasn't there :-(
I then sat in a place, overviewing as much grounds as possible...
because I did HEAR Lucy occaisionally,
I rattled Lucy's favorite treat-box...
SHE CAME OUT OF HIDING !
She was in the corner of the kitchen,
in a small space in the corner,
which thankfully doesn't lead anywhere !
Today I made this re-enactment on how Lucy and me where reunited:
(Using the famous Hamtaro doll as our regular stunt double)
" I offered a Pine-Seed, hoping to grab her...
That didn't work, Lucy retreated back in her newly discovered space.
Then I made a leap of faith, putting my arm in (further than in the above animation),
to try to grab her.
That WORKED !
Although Lucy made some loud SQUEEKING SOUNDS when I did,
She still hasn't bitten me !!! " - Mathijs
Lucy calmed down, as soon as she was in my hands !
I sat with her on the couch for a moment,
doing some basic inspections (Lucy seems to be fine, fortunately !!!)
I then explained that Lucy had to help on her bedroom decorations.
(I didn't have time to do so, my first priority was to find Lucy.)
She looked forward to it,
and helped out really well, after having a huge sip of water.
" Lucy started with a bare bedroom (nothing in it at all... is pretty bare).
Lucy has been working hard for these last five minutes ! " - Mathijs
" Got it Dude ! " - Lucy
" I had a GREAT TIME !!! ... (did I say that out loud ?) " - Lucy
This morning I confronted Lucy with the plundered melon-seed supply !
" I just nocked it over Dude. ( and only took a few ) ! " - Lucy
I am sooooo glad she is back, healthy and safe !
What an adventure she must have had between (approx.) 4 am - 7 am !
(The HamsterTracker system recorded the last treadmill activity around 4 am)
If only hamsters could talk ... I wonder what HER story is on this adventure !

Today we are offering some Infotainment, a usefull Tip as well as a Question for us all:
Infotainment by Jolanda:
" I found this picture on a Dutch forum all about Dollhouses!
Although, I am not REALLY sure if these are hamsters,
it was bought by someone in a shop in Barcelona which sells a lot of pets for your dollhouse! " - Jolanda
We think these are mice or rats (because of the long tail),
anyway, it's EXTREMELY CUTE !
Tip by SLD:
" DON'T FORGET TO EXTREME HAMSTERTRACK IT,
WHEN ON A MISSION!
I went on an Extreme HamsterTrackin' mission to Seattle,
having a wonderfull time !
I had forgotton to actually do some Extreme stuff...
Fortunatly I DID get this picture of Lucy in the sunset of Seattle
from the airplane, when leaving ! " - SLD
What a great sunset! Awesome, to add another one to your list, SLD !
Question for us all by Sanja:
" They just came from the adoption center,
and are making themselfs feel right at home.
These are two Roborovski (the smallest hamster kind) sisters.
These to cuties are not even 8 weeks old and they stole my heart right away.
Problem is... I have difficulties on naming them, would you have suggestions ? " - Sanja
Management meetings have been taking place;
as it seems, the HamsterTracker™-Naming Dept has (quite) some leftover time,
to assist the HamsterTracker™-Mailbox Department.
So we're asking you to send in your two name suggestions !
Rules: You can enter once and you have to tell a little bit about yourself,
(who are you, where from etc...),
your two suggested names,
as well as how you came to your suggestions.
Because we think Sanja needs these names quickly,
( How do you call your nameless pet... in case of an emergency ?? )
the closing date is next Sunday, September 28, 23:59 HamsterTracker™-Time!
Please send it to Peacoque <dot> Labs <at> iae <dot> nl
HamsterTracker™-Shouts to Jolanda, SLD,
Sanja and your two cute new pets.
We love these kinds of mails... please keep 'm commin'
(We offer an extra PineSeed to Lucy for every mail that get's published !)

We had some fun today, observin' Lucy,
tackling a Toilet-Paper-Roll (=TP-Roll):
" Lucy's nibble ! " - HamsterTracker™-Observation Dept.
" ... Really Busy, Dude ... " - Lucy
I then tried to take some close up shots:
" Like Hi, Dude ! " - Lucy
" I Soo Need to do this ... " - Lucy
" Note, the seriousness of Lucy using her left (right for us) paw. " - HamsterTracker™-Observation Dept.
" Here's a little *KISS*, Dude ! " - Lucy
Thank you, dear little Lucy !
a *BIG kiss* right back at you !

Yesterday evening, I changed Lucy's bedroom with a cleaned and all fresh new one:
" Purple Dude ? " - Lucy
Yes, because of the latest cage-setup, I had to use the purple curved tube !
The above photograph is after Lucy dropped off two HUGE POUCHES of fresh hamster food.
She looked around for a minute or two,
and then decided to return to her bedroom, backwards:
" ... Too fast for us ... " - HamsterTracker™-Observation Department.
" Just one more U-Turn and then I am there ! " - Lucy
24 hours later
" ZZZ ... zzz ... " - Lucy
That's some major (re-) decorating, Lucy!

Our dear HamsterTracker™ friend Marion sent in the remaining 'Wales Expedition photos' :
" we had a little road trip today,
first we went to Swansea and visited the DVLA ,
they run all vehicle and driver registration for the whole UK,
so its a very BIG building,
as it was raining we kept Lucy in the car! " - Marion
" After we had sorted out my new driving licence we headed down to St Davids,
Britains smallest city and Geoff's [ Geoff is Marion's husband ] home town. " - Marion
" We showed Lucy(3) the Cathedral and the adjacent ruined Bishops Palace ! " - Marion
" On the way home, we stopped at Pont Abraham for coffee and met this little fella ... " - Marion
Extreme HamsterTracker™-Shouts to Marion & Geoff !
We love the 'model-kit-' Cathedral look ;) in the second last photograph !
If I'd only had a model train... that would be an awesome kit !
