Technical note:


It seemed that Lucy wasn't running much these last few days.
So I gave the Treadmill sensor a check...

It was a bit dusty therefore it didn't record correctly...
Fixed it, and testing it tonight.

We don't really celebrate Halloween here in the Netherlands,
although, it was mentioned in the news, this morning!


I am not really sure if it's OK for hamsters to have chestnuts,
therefore I didn't let Lucy have one, better safe than sorry;


Although, I am very sorry for Lucy,
but I removed it as soon as she dropped it,
and left it alone in her bedroom.
She hasn't chewed on it, she just needed to hoard it.

Free morning newspaper



This morning I found a newspaper on my doormat.
Because this paper recently switched to tabloid sized format,
I am supposing this is for promotional purposses.


When reading this newspaper, Lucy got up and she wanted (her usual morning) treat.
After giving her a few pineseeds, she wanted out of her cage...


I don't want to make a habit of this (taking her out every morning),
because, during weekdays, I simply don't have the time.
But, being Saturday and all, I thought this one time would be ok.

It's cool to see that the software activates the IR-leds.
I've done some simple tests to make sure the IR-leds don't interfere with the treadmill sensor.
Fortunately it doesn't!!!


All I needed to do was activate the camera in my homemade-webcam-server-software:

Technical note:

These last few weeks, the HamsterTracker™ server software made a mess of the menubar, after updating it.
Because this problem didn't arrise every night, it is a tough one to debug.
I've done numerous tests these last few weeks, mostly unsuccessfull.

The problem resulted in an all messed up webpage, with a huge menu all over all items on the left portion of the screen.
This weekend I thought I'd found the cause of problem, after applying a fix, I was very hopefull on the results this morning...

I sadly had overlooked one tiny littl' detail, therefore, it was a mess again this morning.
Now that I fixed this littl' thing, I am hoping for the best tonight...
